How to

Finding companies that look like the ones you won

The short answer

A useful lookalike profile comes from your own closed new-business deals, by industry and headcount, with the win count beside each segment. Matching companies come from a network of companies scored against that profile, from the companies visiting your website, and from companies a past buyer of yours has just joined.

Start from your wins, by segment

An ideal customer profile written in a planning meeting describes who the team wants to sell to. Your closed new-business deals describe who bought. Count wins and losses by industry and by headcount band, and the segments where you win stand out.

On an example workspace: you won 18 of 28 new-business deals with Healthcare companies of 201-1,000 people. The count matters as much as the rate, because 3 of 3 is a coincidence.

Use new business only

Renewals and upgrades are won from inside an account, on a relationship that already exists. Counting them makes every segment you already sell to look like a segment where you win new logos.

How Kaypo answers this for your pipeline

Every open deal, scored on what the buyer did, with the move that worked in your own wins.

Kaypo reads your CRM, email and calls, checks every signal against the deals you have already won and lost, and puts the answer on each deal: the score, why it moved, and the next step with the email written.

Where the matches come from

A network of companies matched to the profile, so the list reaches companies that have never heard of you.

The companies visiting your website, resolved from the visit to a company, on your own domain only.

Companies a past buyer of yours just joined. Somebody who bought from you once already knows the product.

Fit is where it starts

Fit says a company is worth knowing about. Intent on its own never puts a company on the list: it counts only next to something the company's own people did, such as visiting your site.

How do you build a lookalike list from closed won deals?

Count your closed new-business deals by industry and headcount, find the segments where you won a high share with enough deals behind it, and match companies to that profile. Kaypo builds the profile from your own wins and shows the count beside each segment, for example 18 of 28.

Where does Kaypo find companies that are not in my CRM?

Kaypo Discover finds companies outside your CRM from a network of companies matched to your win profile, from the companies visiting your website, and from companies a past buyer of yours has just joined.
